    Privacy Policy

    Draft

    Review your privacy policy

This is our standard wording. Please read it, or have your own counsel review it, and tell us to approve or change it.

This privacy policy explains what information Stroud & Valero collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. Information you share with us after you become a client is covered by our duty of confidentiality and our engagement agreement.

    Information you give us

    • Contact and consultation forms: your name, phone number, email address, what your matter is about, your message, and any answers you choose to give, such as an upcoming court date.
    • Chat: the messages you type in the chat on this site. The chat is an automated assistant, not a person.
    • Online booking: the consultation time you choose and the contact details you enter.
    • Phone calls: if you call a number shown in one of our ads, the call may be connected through a call-tracking service that records the number you called from, the time, and how long the call lasted. Calls are not recorded. If a call is answered by our automated phone assistant, what you say is turned into text so our team can read your message.
    • Text messages: if we text you, for example to confirm a consultation or because we missed your call, we keep a record of that text. Reply STOP to any text to stop them.

Please don't send confidential details about your legal matter through this website. Share them only after you have spoken with an attorney.

    Information collected automatically

    • Visit counts: we count which pages are viewed and how visitors found the site (for example, a search engine or an ad). This counting uses no cookies, and we don't store your IP address with it.
    • How you found us: the first page you landed on, the site that sent you, and ad campaign tags are kept in your browser and sent to us only if you fill in a form, chat, or book a time.
    • Spam protection: our forms use a security check from Cloudflare that looks at technical details about your browser to tell people from automated programs.
    • We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't sell or rent your information.

    How we use your information

    • To reply to you, schedule and confirm consultations, and remind you of them
    • To check for conflicts of interest before we can talk with you about your matter
    • To understand which pages and ads help people find us
    • To keep this website secure and stop spam
    • To meet our legal and professional obligations

    Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run this website and our practice, under agreements that limit what they can do with it: website hosting, email and text-message delivery, spam protection, scheduling, and the practice-management software we use to keep our client records. When the chat answers questions, an AI service processes your messages to write its replies; it may not use them to train its models. We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or with your permission.

    How long we keep it

We keep information from this website as long as we need it to respond to you and for our records, and as long as the law and our professional rules require.

    Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and limited access. No website is perfectly secure, so please don't send confidential details through it.

    Children

This website is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

    Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information you sent us through this website, unless we must keep it by law or under our professional rules. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under state privacy laws. To make a request, call (602) 555-0187 or email help@stroudvalero.example.

    Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page.
